**RE-ADVERTISED DUE TO NIGERIA SCAM** BEWARE OF HENDRICK BERTIS*** GOOGLE HIS NAME FOR FURTHER DETAILS**
‘CLARENDON GINAH’ Registered purebred Polish Arabian Mare. 14.3hh, rising 11 years, Bay with a white star. $2500
ONLY TO THE BEST OF HOMES!
Ginah is the love of my life, although I’ve had many horses over the years Ginah has been the one I have bonded with the most. I bought her when she was only young and was still being educated. After 4 weeks of work with her I took her out to her first show; we won reserve champion and I was offered $6000 on the spot for her because the fellow show goers could not believe how well behaved she was, and how far she had come in such a short time. Needless to say i rejected the offer as I never thought I could part with my beautiful mare.
Unfortunately over the last 4 years I have done very little with my girl; I did my VCE which occupied all of my time and after being subsequently accepted into Monash University Law she still remains a paddock ornament; I would love to still make the time for her but my knee requires surgery making it even harder to ride. I planned to put her in foal during my studies however after losing my part time job during these times and falling into financial struggle I am forced to sell her.
I have ridden her bareback around the paddock with a headstall and lead rope, i have taken her on roads (however the amount of times has been limited) she was no trouble she just liked to look at things because it was all new. We have done very minimal jumping just over small fences; she was a quick learner and after a while she put her tail right up, ears forward and enjoyed every second of it. However if she was to be used for jumping she would need more training and repetition until she was taken out to a competition.
I have also set up a barrel racing course out the back, she loved being able to race around, at first she wouldn’t go too close to the barrels but would go closer and closer the more we did this, she would get so excited that on the home straight she’d give a cheeky little pigroot.
Dressage is where she out –classes any horse. She rounds beautifully on the bit, is very responsive to the legs and her extended trot is to die for!! If you are looking for a top dressage or showing mount Ginah is the horse.
I have done a couple of adult riding rallies, however after I commenced studying I had to stop. We were graded grade 5 on my request as she was only very young at the time and I wanted to start slow and work our way up, but she has the potential to hit the top grades with her dressage easily.
She is currently out of work, but as I have just began holidays I will start lunging her to begin getting her fit, I will also ride as much as I can however it will be limited due to the knee injury.
This is the hardest decision I have had to make, however it came down to Ginah or my mums horse, but my mums horse was badly beaten before we rescued her so she is nervous and only trusts my mum and myself so we could not risk selling her and her being continually sold on or sent to the knackery, so unfortunately it has to be my baby girl Ginah.
She holds her weight well. She is only being fed on hay and she is looking very healthy. We had her teeth done a couple of months ago, she needs her feet done but we are looking at getting this done as soon as we can afford it, and she is due to be wormed, we have the wormer here and this will be done before she departs.
The only thing that one might fault her on is she is the boss among other horses in the paddock. She has only nipped once as a young horse but just a little growl made her pull her head in and she then knew I was the boss. With new people she will bluff, put her ears back and scrunch her face up, if u tell her she is being silly and don’t run off scared she quickly learns that you’re not afraid and gives up straight away. She only pigroots if you are not giving the correct leg signals while riding, I once put a confident girl who did not know how to ride too well and Ginah gave a couple of pigroots when the girls was continually niggling with her legs (not knowing what she was doing). Other than that she’ll only give the occasional cheeky pigroot when she’s getting a bit excited with herself. However she has never pigrooted at a show, she is always well behaved and calm, and tends to put on a show off strut really making her stand out even more from the crowd.
For these reasons she is suited to an experienced rider and home. Given the right rider she will be an amazingly talented horse, and anyone who knows Arabians knows that they have a very trainable nature, and tend to learn better at an older age as they are more mature.
I am happy to email photo’s, but please be aware that she is in paddock condition! She is still a beautiful mare and when she is in show condition is hard to believe her beauty. Very very eye catching. Unfortunately due to my computer crashing last year I no longer have photos of her at a show.
Any questions feel free to call me on 0420567507 if I don’t answer leave a message and I will call you back asap. Thankyou for looking.
*** The last time I hopped on Ginah was 6 months ago, and I got on her Thursday bareback with a headstall and lead to take some pics for a possible buyer and she was no trouble despite the freezing stormy weather***
