For the first time in Australia's history of the Hyacinth Macaw, we have made available to the public the opportunity to purchase a unrelated young hand rared future breeding pair of Hyacinth Macaws.

For those that are not looking to breed the Hyacinth Macaw, but instead would love to own one of these beautiful rare Hyacinth Macaws as a pet, we have available one young hand rared Hyacinth hen.

For those that are genuinely interested in purchasing one of these limited species in Australia (less than 20), we offer private viewing prior to purchasing and before paying any money upfront.

Both the unrelated Hyacinth pair and the single Hyacinth hen are almost fully weaned and ready to go. The weaning process takes between 18 to 20 weeks if done correctly. The hyacinth macaw will start eating soft solids on there own at the age of 10 to 12 weeks, but they need the extra 8 to 10 weeks of hand feeding to ensure they gain there maximum body size and weight.

Our Hyacinths are fed a specialized diet to ensure correct growth rates and nutrition to ensure their internal organs develop correctly. Purchasing a Hyacinth Macaw that is not fed the correct diet will result in health issues in the early years of their life (this we know from experience). Hyacinth macaws do not develop correctly on just hand raring mix alone in there first 90 days of life.

Each Hyacinth macaw comes with a complete health check which is carried out by Australia's leading Avian specialist "Dr Adrian Galagher" from Brisbane Bird Vet.

Most importantly each Hyacinth Macaw comes complete with the necessary Australian Government Agency documentation that proves legal origin in Australia. Each Hyacinth is also DNA sexed and micro-chipped.

For the serious genuine buyer, we can also include personal delivery to your door at no extra cost, this will ensure that the bird/s will arrive safely and in good health.

For those that are genuinely interested in knowing more about the Hyacinth Macaws that we have available, you can purchase a copy of the August Edition of the "AUSTRALIAN BIRD KEEPER" magazine, which we were asked to write and provide an exclusive article on these majestic Hyacinth Macaws.

The "AUSTRALIAN BIRD KEEPER" magazine is available at your local newsagent, just look for a Hyacinth Macaw on the front cover.

Please understand that these birds are very rare within Australia and therefore the cost to purchase one of these birds is more than any other bird, so please only genuine inquiries only. Video and pics available.
