Here is a fallow mutation Double Yellow Headed Amazon named "Squirrel". He is the only one I know of in Australia and therefore quite rare. Not as stunning as a lutino, but still quite beautiful. He is 4 years old now and looking for love. We bred him and the sensible thing would be to breed back to his mother who has white toenails which should give coloured youngsters straight away. This is called line breeding and is done by farmers to improve livestock lines. The other way is to outbreed to a normal, and then breed those young. Or you could do both for different bloodlines and improved genetics. Squirrel is a character and talks a lot. He thinks he is great as well. He has been socialised with other Amazons so he is not imprinted. This is your chance to work with a new mutation and develop it yourself and no-one else will be dropping the price! The older he gets, the better his colour is becoming - lighter and brighter. He hatched with a reddish/plum coloured eye.
