Congratulations to Martin Woodward for many months of research to produce facts and photos to complete his article, ‘Naming Confusion in Princess Parrots’, published in the latest, ‘Australian Birdkeeper’, Vol. 33, Issue 1 February 2020.
Dr Terry Martin, B.VSc, leading expert in the World on Avian Genetics has commended “Martin’s efforts to apply logic and science to the name of this Princess Parrot mutation and agrees with his conclusions”.
Dr Martin now recommends using the name “Pallid” for this mutation, in line with the European standard.
