The back story to these pairs is we purchased 4 cocks and 4 hens from all around Australia genetically as far apart as possible. The 8 birds were flocked in a large flight aviary and separated into breeding flights as they seemingly chose their pairs. 2 of these pairs proved out. The last 2 pairs at the end of 2019 season weren’t getting along as well as hoped so we swapped the last 2 pairs around. Both pairs have been feeding each other coming into the 2020 season.
