I am selling a 14 yr old breeding pair of Blue and Gold Macaws.
These are a great pair of birds producing up to 14 chicks a
season. They will hatch and raise chicks for a couple of days but
best success is to take eggs as they externally pip and incubate in
final stages. They have just finished for the season and usually
start again in August. Both birds can fly but the hen is a weak flier
due to some upturned wing feathers. They are currently housed in
a 5m deep × 3m wide x 2.4m high conventional avairy. They have
produced 3 chicks with white toes that I am keeping to breed on
with. The father of the cock bird was from a pied line. Pick up only
as inspection required prior to purchase. Asking price $10,000 no
offers price is firm.
